Okay.. this tribe is really big and yet there isn't much happening. I blame myself, being the moderator I should help facilitate conversation. So how about list, where they live, favorite dive and favorite drink.

San Jose, Ca
Parklane (aka The Lounge)
Budweiser and a shot of Tequila

Richmond but used to hang out a lot in Oakland
Baggy's by the Lake (not that divey, but sort of divey. It's almost time for their annual free cowboy calendars to come out!)
martini or gin & tonic if Vince is pouring
wine if Marlene is pouring (she pours weak drinks)

still looking for a good dive closer to home.

Alright, I wouldn't yet consider myself a connoisseur, but I'm loving:

    San Francisco, CA
    Trad'r Sam's
Mai Tai's and Long Islands. They make 'em strong and cheap here!

    Usually I'm a beer snob...

Greetings, all. I'm Cisco, and new here. Being an Old Squid, I probably have the advantage of many here....

Fave dive bar: Club New Jolo in Olongapo.
    Fave act: The Peso Squatthrust
Fave drink: San Magoo, what else?
Real favorite act: The Hot Peso Squatthrust (you had to be there...)

My favorite old bar was the Firefly in LA...

we have a few good ones here in bakersfield - the Mint

there used to be some great ones in Boise ID - but they redeveloped downtown and they all moved - but the western was great there.

Best local spots in SF is a toss up between the Brown Jug and Mister Leeona's.
However, my all time favorite is Foxes Booze & Crooze on Historic route 66 in Albuquerque.
Not only is it the bes sunday afternoon pool game, but some of the best Celine Dion lipsyncing that side of the Rio Grande.

San Francisco, CA - Outer Richmond District

There are plenty of dives in this foggy 'hood of mine but these are my favorites:

Hockey Haven - fits most of my moods
Tee Off - when I feel particularly crusty and beligerent
Kirb's Avenue - to watch the drunk middle-aged women beat everyone at pool

Drinks: Beer or gin and tonic
