hi folks,
just wanted to let you know that some fellow yelp friends
are having a bar crawl quite often, the last one was
last saturday, and i saw about 6 dive bars in the tenderloin,
and i mean REAL dive bars. i went somewhere else around 11.30pm
but the group (18 people or so) continued to see 3 or 4 more bars.
what a crawl that was.
anyway, since it was such a success the yelp-friend who organized it
is planning on doing it every month (our bodies couldn't handle much more).
it's a yelp.com thing, but hey, why not make a fusion?
so either join yelp to find out about in the future, or simply ask me.
i will also post future crawls on tribe ( i did it for the last one, but
NO ONE from tribe showed up) so let me know if there is some interest at all.

post here for sure and if you eat before hand, try posting in SF Restaurants tribe to drum up some fun folks that already go out a lot.
did you hit any of the polk gulch bars? -

i think it would be great to have some crawls going on more often. we could have motto-crawls:
hat-crawl
all black clothes - crawl
just an idea to draw more people to it (or scare them away?).
i can make flyers, did the last one for the tenderloin crawl too... -

Fri, February 16, 2007 - 1:26 AMI love to dress up in themes. It gives a group look and accompaning mentality. Monochromatic is always easy. Let's see if Lord J will pass the torch, and we can get some new energy into this place.

Wed, February 7, 2007 - 10:37 AMi'm totally game. the TL is my favorite dive bar area for sure. but, lush that i am, up for others. good call on lower polk btw. that area is aggressively trying to 'beautify' itself, so belly up to 'em now while they still exist.
also on yelp as well. but i don't recall seeing a post for this most recent one on tribe? doh.

I haven't been a very good moderator as far as planning events... life gets busy and stuff and things. I'll gladly hand over the tribe to someone that wants to take on the responsibilities... and help make the tribe a little more active. This is one of the oldest tribes on here... founded back when Tribe was still in it's infancy... I just want someone to take care of it, nurture it... get the people talking and participating. Any takers? -
