I agree that weekend nights here in SF are crowded and full of bridge and tunnel, but I think we need to have ample recovery time after a serious crawl. If I go on a dive crawl, then almost have to actualy crawl home, I don't want to wake up ealry and work. I like sunday for a day of rest. you know?

although sometimes Saturdays are crowded. Sunday might sound a little odd, but would actually be better.

Nov 17 sounds good. I think I'll organize a tribe dive crawl after SF calms down a bit... we have Lovefest/Loveparade, Folsom Street Fair, Fleet Week, Burning Man Decompression, and some other stuff on the near horizon. But it will be fun when in happens! Do you guys think a Friday or Saturday night would be better?

sounds like fun! I'm putting a crawl together on behalf of Tipsy Tuesdays, probably on Nov 17.. it will involve specific venues that are frequent Tuesday locations, though not all of them are truly "dives" (they do, however, all have outdoor patios!). I'll happily post the info here when it comes together, in case anyone is interested Hopefully, the Tribe crawl won't be on that date too :)

Definitely Dives. A area for Classic Dive Bars in SF that is rarely ever mentioned is San Bruno Ave, between Silver Ave & Paul Ave. Joey J's, Judnick's, just to name a few of the Dives......................
